But what does this actually mean?
People who follow us on Facebook will know that Lancing Traders Association closed as a membership group at the end of February with the committee of Lancing Traders Association stepping down. Lancing-based marketing agency, Constructive Marketing, had always run the LTA website in the background and did not want to see something that was of value to the local community disappear, so they have turned it into Love Lancing.
What’s changing?
Love Lancing is not a membership organisation, it’s now a digital community hub for the people of Lancing. Here they will still get all of the information they’re used to getting from the old website and more. Locally based charities and community groups can promote their events and meetings for free and businesses can promote themselves through paid listings on the site and also publicise upcoming events.
As Love Lancing is not a membership group, businesses and community/ charity groups that are a part of it don’t need to do anything – apart from send us the information. We’re simply here to help you get noticed within the Lancing community and by the people who already love using the website.
The Facebook Page will also remain as a useful resource for the people that follow it. Although we won’t be promoting businesses there. Instead, there will be opportunities for you to comment below one of our posts to let people know about your business and any offers you currently have.
How can I get involved?
If you’re a business owner or run a charity/community group, we would love for you to make use of the website that gets seen by thousands of people every month. We’re not doing this to make loads of money but our time updating, running and hosting the website will be paid for by businesses who support the site. This is why business listings will start from only £10 per month!
If you’re a community/charity group, you’ll be able to list your organisation and promote your events for free. For businesses, there are a few different options available to make the most of Love Lancing:

Events that are making a profit; e.g workshops and classes will not be promoted on Love Lancing for free. Instead you will be able to promote your paid for events via our business listings. There will be opportunities to promote other types of events over on our Facebook Page.
